A Space for Us, known as the People's Museum Somers Town, is a small community museum run by local residents on the Ossulston Estate, a listed social housing block near Euston and King's Cross. The ground-floor gallery gathers a timeline of the neighbourhood, a wall of radical posters, old photo albums, a small reading library and films about slum clearance and the housing movement. Visitors can look round the exhibitions free of charge, with a donation invited. The museum also runs occasional walks, talks, art socials and festival events, and has hosted family-friendly outdoor days and youth work-experience placements for young people. It suits older children and teenagers curious about London history and local heritage, and families visiting Camden who want something quieter than the big central museums. Opening is limited to a few days a week, so check before travelling.
