Oulton Broad Water Sports Centre

Oulton Broad Water Sports Centre (OBWSC) is a not-for-profit watersports charity based at Nicholas Everitt Park on Oulton Broad, Lowestoft, inspiring confidence on the water since 1987. Set at the southern gateway to the Broads National Park, it offers instructor-led sessions, courses and hire in sailing, paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, rowing, powerboating, windsurfing and wingsurfing, led by fully qualified RYA and British Canoeing instructors.

Families and children are well catered for: Summer Activity Weeks for ages 8-17 run during the school holidays (Monday-Friday 10:00-15:30, bookable by the day or the full week), Watersport Wednesdays offer structured 3-hour sessions for home learners under 16, and FREE Introduction to Watersports sessions for ages 8-14 are offered on selected summer dates. Equipment hire (2 hours) covers paddleboards, single and double kayaks and canoes - perfect for family days out on the water.

All equipment and buoyancy aids are provided (wetsuits on request), with changing rooms, toilets, showers and free on-site parking. Sessions generally welcome participants from age 8 upwards, all abilities and complete beginners included. Booking in advance is required.
