Sandy Leisure & Sports Centre (formerly Sandy Sports Centre) is Everyone Active's all-new leisure complex on Engayne Avenue, Sandy, run as agent for Central Bedfordshire Council. The new centre replaced the old Sandy Sports Centre and incorporates the Sandy Jenkins Pavilion into one unified complex.
Kids can use the gym from age 11 (induction, team-supervised and parent-supervised sessions for 11-15s), and the centre runs kids' birthday parties including bouncy castle parties and indoor football parties (juniors only, 60-minute sessions). The outdoor full-size artificial football pitch is available for kickabouts and training, and the school-holiday Much More This Summer programme offers family activities from £2 per person.
Adults get a gym, two group fitness studios and a group cycling studio with a packed class programme. Accessibility features include accessible parking bays, low-level reception, accessible unisex toilets, showers and changing facilities, accessible lockers and concessionary membership rates.
Note: there is no swimming pool on site. Standard opening hours are Mon-Fri 6am-10pm, Sat-Sun 8am-8pm; classes, junior sessions and pitch hire run to their own timetables.
