Biggleswade Library is a modern, free Central Bedfordshire library on Chestnut Avenue, sharing its building with a children's centre and the Registrar's office. It has a dedicated children's library stocked with books for babies, toddlers and young readers, and a popular free programme of sessions for under-5s: Rhymetime on Wednesdays and Saturdays (10:00-10:30) and Read & Rhyme on Fridays (14:00-14:30). Families can borrow books free of charge, use the computers, and join in seasonal events such as the Summer Reading Challenge and holiday craft activities. The library is open Tuesday to Friday 9am-6pm and Saturday 9am-4pm, with free entry for all ages - a great rainy-day stop in Biggleswade town centre.
