Kempston Library is a friendly public library run by Bedford Borough Council, on Halsey Road in Kempston town centre. Entry and borrowing are completely free, and there's a packed weekly programme of free children's activities: Rhyme Time and Bounce and Rhyme for babies and toddlers (term-time), Building Block Play for little ones aged 1 and over, Lego Club and Wicked Wednesday craft-and-board-game sessions after school, plus a Saturday Kids' Club and Saturday Story on weekends. During the school holidays the library runs free family crafts and summer Story Time sessions. Facilities include free Wi-Fi, computers, printing and photocopying, an accessible entrance and a car park. A classic free, indoor, rainy-day destination for families in Bedford.
