Westerlands Equestrian is a 5-star licensed, BHS & ABRS+ approved riding centre on Westerlands Farm, tucked into the heart of the South Downs National Park near Graffham, West Sussex.
Children aged 5-10 can enjoy Pony Morning sessions - tacking up, caring for their pony and a ride around the farm (£45). Teenagers aged 10-15 can join the Pony Academy to feed, groom and ride their pony (£55), and there are multi-day Pony Camps in school holidays. Horse riding is open to all ages and abilities from age 3, with farm walks on the lead (£20-£50), rides through the woods of Ambersham and Lavington Common (£50-£65) and longer treks up onto the South Downs for experienced riders (£95-£155).
All activities must be booked in advance via the booking questionnaire or by emailing [email protected] - there is no turn-up-and-ride. The equestrian centre is closed on Thursdays so the horses and staff can rest. The on-site Horsebox Cafe serves coffees, cakes and ice cream to visitors.
