Ushaw is a heritage destination set within rolling parkland just outside Durham city, housed in a former Catholic seminary now run as a registered independent charity. Visitors can explore the historic house, chapels including St Cuthbert's chapel with its noted acoustics, and grounds. The site features beautiful buildings, centuries of art and heritage collections, a library with historically important books and items, and Pugin chapels. A café is on site, and bed and breakfast accommodation is available if you want to stay overnight.
