Somerleyton Hall is a Grade II* listed Victorian stately home set in 12 acres of formal gardens, considered one of the finest gardens in East Anglia. The star attraction for families is the Somerleyton Maze, planted in 1846 and one of Britain's finest yew hedge mazes. The gardens are laid out as a series of interconnected 'rooms' including the Nesfield Parterre with its great equatorial sundial, the sunken White Garden, walled garden, arboretum with county champion trees, My Lady's Rose Garden and the historic parkland where cattle, wild ponies and deer roam. The hall itself opens for guided tours on selected days. The Somerleyton Tea Room serves light lunches and cream teas, and the calendar is packed with family events from the Easter Egg Hunt to the Halloween Pumpkin Trail in October half term. Open seasonally from April to October.

Open Tue 7 April - Sat 31 October 2026 inclusive. Gardens open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and Bank Holiday Mondays only.
