The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre at RAF Coningsby gives families a close-up look at the working hangar of the RAF's historic aircraft flight - home to a Lancaster, Dakota, five Spitfires, two Hurricanes and two Chipmunks. Access to the hangar is by guided tour only (approx 60-90 minutes), led by guides with first-hand experience of the aircraft. Admission: adults GBP12.50, concessions GBP11.50, children (5-16) GBP7.00, under 5s free, with family tickets available. The centre has a cafe, gift shop, free parking and baby changing facilities. Children under 13 should be accompanied by an adult; under 14s must be accompanied on tours. The visitor centre is fully accessible (hangar accessible for manual wheelchairs only). Open Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays; tours and Tea Bar are seasonal.
