The Commandery is a Grade I listed medieval building in the heart of historic Worcester, telling the story of the English Civil War and the 1651 Battle of Worcester, when it served as the Royalist headquarters of King Charles II. Run by Museums Worcestershire, the museum brings 900 years of history to life with period rooms, interactive displays and the Worcestershire Soldier gallery. Families can explore the beautiful gardens, take on the Commandery Quest escape room, join holiday activities and early-years Tots Through Time sessions, and refuel at Little Al's Kitchen cafe.

Open February to December each year; closed all January. Seasonal changes to hours are announced on the website/social media (e.g. occasional 3pm closes on summer Saturdays).
