Crewe Heritage Centre tells the story of how the town became the 'Railway Capital of the World'. You can go inside the cabs of trains, operate hands-on displays, watch model railways and miniature railways, and look out from an observation deck over Crewe North junction where trains regularly pass. There's a cafe on site. The centre is open weekends, bank holidays and Wednesdays during Cheshire East school holidays.
