The museum occupies the Benedictine Priory Gatehouse in Great Malvern and tells the town's local history through themed rooms spanning millions of years to the present day. Displays cover Malvern granite and rocks, medieval forest and monastery life, Water Cure treatments, Victorian-era railway and engineering heritage (including Morgan cars and Santler bicycles), and radar work. You can explore via dressing-up activities, slide shows, a touchscreen and audio guides. Upstairs access is via a twisty staircase; a ground-floor PowerPoint slideshow covers main upstairs exhibitions. A summer activity called Donkey Dash runs July to August.
The museum reopens on Saturday 28th March 2026. We will again aim to open daily until the end of October
