A partly ruined medieval fortress standing on an imposing high point overlooking the River Teme, with views over the Shropshire countryside. Walk through the castle grounds to explore the ancient lodgings of kings, queens, princes, judges and the nobility. The site hosts family events including Knights & Castles activities, Jesters performances and Falconry displays as part of its Summer of History programme. Dogs are welcome, and there is a gift shop and restaurant.
