Free car park approx 450m up Ridgebourne Road on the right; coach parking with turnaround space; drop-off point for visitors with limited mobility.

Seventy acres of gardens beneath Hergest Ridge, holding national collections of Maples, Birches and Zelkovas. Created and extended by five generations of the Banks family, they contain one of the finest collections of plants and shrubs in the UK, with many rare and exotic species and over 130 Champion trees. The gardens include a Croquet Lawn, Conservatory border, and terraces with seasonal plantings. During school holidays, children can pick up a Nature Explorer Challenge sheet from Reception and complete ten nature-themed activities around the gardens to earn a prize.
Open daily 29 March - 1 November; closed over winter (early November to late March). Season ticket holders have garden access 28 Feb - 1 Nov.
