West Berkshire Museum tells the story of West Berkshire from the rocks beneath it to the people who have shaped the region—early ancestors, historical figures like Jack of Newbury, and recent residents. The permanent exhibition follows how these inhabitants created the towns, villages, roads, canals, fields, farms, industries and organisations the area has today. A second floor hosts rotating special exhibitions, with one gallery available to display original artwork, sculpture and crafts. The museum runs year-round talks and family activities.
