Reading Museum holds 10 hands-on, accessible and family friendly galleries spread across art, archaeology, history and natural history. The collections include Britain's Bayeux Tapestry, 200 years of biscuit history in the Huntley & Palmers Gallery, and material on Reading's historic Abbey Quarter and Jane Austen's school. The museum offers guided tours of the Bayeux Tapestry and Reading Abbey. Admission is free.
