Dunbar Harbour is a historic working harbour on the East Lothian coast, where the town of Dunbar meets the Firth of Forth. It is a town of three harbours - the Old Harbour, dating from the 17th century, the Victoria Harbour built in 1842, and Broad Haven. Grey seals regularly feed from the fishing boats and can be watched up close, and the harbour walls and rocky shore offer spectacular family walks with seabirds including kittiwakes, guillemots, razorbills, shags, fulmars and gannets. The harbour is home to an RNLI lifeboat station, with lifeboat service dating back to 1808, and a thriving Sailing Club, Coastal Rowing Club and diving clubs. Families can grab fish and chips or a snack at the harbour cafes, use the public toilets, and follow the John Muir Way, which passes through the harbour. Dunbar railway station is a 15-minute walk away.
