Belhaven Bay car park on Shore Road: 120 spaces incl. 1 disabled, 1 motorcycle and 3 motorhome bays. Pay and display £3/day or Ringo; charges apply 1 Apr-30 Sep 8am-6.30pm and 1 Oct-31 Mar 8am-4pm. Parking prohibited 11pm-4am.

Belhaven Beach (Belhaven Bay) is a glorious, extensive sandy beach within John Muir Country Park at the edge of Dunbar. Fringed by low sheltering sand dunes, salt marsh and colourful grasslands, the beach is excellent for walking, picnics and sunbathing, with splendid views across the Firth of Forth. It is a popular family surf beach - ideal for paddling, bodyboarding and watching surfers - and at low tide families can walk across the iconic Bridge to Nowhere. The main car park on Shore Road has 120 spaces (including disabled and motorhome bays), pay-and-display charges apply seasonally, with accessible toilets and showers at the surf hub building. The John Muir Way passes through the area, and Dunbar town centre and train station are a 15-minute walk away.
