North Berwick has two sandy family beaches on the Firth of Forth: West Beach, a long stretch of sand with views to Craigleith and the Bass Rock, ideal for paddling and picnics, and East Beach (Milsey Bay), a popular family beach with rock pool exploring and a boating pond built into the rocks that holds water when the tide is out, giving children a safe place to paddle. Both beaches are free, open access and close to the Scottish Seabird Centre, harbour and town centre amenities.
