The car park is on the beach and floods during high tides. Check the sign at the entrance for tide times. Overnight parking not permitted.

Ynyslas is part of the Dyfi National Nature Reserve, a 2,000-hectare reserve that also includes the Dyfi estuary and Cors Fochno raised peat bog. Visitors can explore ever-changing sand dunes, a beautiful seashore, and saltmarsh with stunning estuary views. Two waymarked walking trails — the Dune Walk (1.3 miles, easy, 30 min-1 hr) and the Ynyslas Walk (2.7 miles, easy, 1.25-2 hrs) — take families through dunes, along the seashore, and across farmland and saltmarsh. Wildlife highlights include orchids in the dune slacks, butterflies, dragonflies, skylarks, and osprey and otter on the estuary in summer. Ynyslas Nature Hub at the visitor centre provides community activities and light refreshments at selected times. Please note: the beach is a red flag beach with no swimming or inflatables allowed due to strong tidal currents.
