A steep-sided woodland reserve in mid-Wales with footpaths through Alder and oak alongside fast-flowing rivers. In May, the forest floor is carpeted in Bluebells beneath trees draped in Witches Beard lichen. The reserve is home to Red Kites, Pied Flycatchers, Redstarts, Common Sandpipers, Dippers and Grey Wagtails. Above the woodland are upland grassland and moor, and between the valleys are wildflower-filled meadows. The footpaths have rough sections with steep drops; the site has no toilets, 15 parking spaces, and a newly opened boardwalk.
