Down Cathedral, the Cathedral Church of the Holy Trinity, stands prominently on the Hill of Down overlooking Downpatrick. Tradition holds that Saint Patrick was buried on this site, and for over 1,600 years Christians have worshipped here. The cathedral features fascinating historic features both inside and out, a gift shop, and is one of the key destinations on St Patrick's Trail. Open to all visitors Monday to Friday 10am–3:30pm.
