Due to limited car parking around South Park, we recommend you use the town centre car parks and access the park by foot via Victoria Embankment.
Only facilities we’ve confirmed are listed — anything missing here we simply haven’t checked, rather than know to be absent.
South Park is the region's oldest park, grade II listed with Historic England. It features toddler and junior play parks, a multi-use games area, skate park, bowling green, aviary, cafe, and accessible toilets. Green Flag Award holder since 2006. Managed by Darlington Borough Council.
Toilets are open at the following times; Winter months (from first Monday in November) and Summer months (from first Monday in March).
