Queen Victoria and Prince Albert's seaside palace on the Isle of Wight. The house itself contains sumptuous interiors and art collections; the grounds include gardens, a private beach, and an interactive tree trail. The Swiss Cottage, where the royal children played and gardened, sits in the grounds. Inside, you can explore the State Rooms and Family Rooms. There's a play area on site and a Victoria Hall Restaurant plus three other food outlets; picnicking is also possible throughout the grounds. Note that in winter months the Swiss Cottage closes and only the house's ground floor is open.
Winter (November-March): Swiss Cottage closed; house restricted to ground floor only. Summer (April-October): full access to all areas.
