Marbury Country Park sits at the heart of the Northwich Woodlands on the grounds of a former manor house. Walks and trails run through open parkland and ancient woodland, past magnificent lime avenues and an arboretum, with Budworth Mere as a backdrop. Raised terraces and stone walls trace the site's history from country residence through prisoner-of-war camp to its demolition in the 1970s. The woodland and parkland support rare species and wildlife including bats and beetles. An orienteering course is available, and the park hosts events throughout the year. Some routes are suitable for wheelchairs and pushchairs; more challenging trails are not.
