Leighton Moss is home to the largest reedbed in north-west England, a wetland reserve set against Morecambe Bay's shores. Walk level, well-maintained pathways through reedbeds, mudflats, coastal marsh, saltwater lagoons, woodland and limestone grasslands. Wildlife here includes Otters, Bearded Tits, Bitterns, Marsh Harriers, egrets and Red Deer. The visitor centre has a cafe and shop. Tramper all-terrain mobility scooters are available to hire, and all trails except the path to Lower Hide are fully wheelchair accessible. Dogs on leads are welcome in the visitor centre to access the dog-friendly trail, though not on main reserve footpaths.
