Birdland is set in nine acres of gardens and woodland with over 500 birds from over 130 species. See owls in the Parliament of Owls, King Penguins and Humboldt Penguins at Penguin Shore, vibrant parrots in the Pandemonium of Parrots, and flamingos, pelicans, cranes and waterfowl in riverside habitats and over 50 aviaries. The Out of Africa area holds hornbills, village weavers and birds from across the continent. In the Jurassic Journey woodland area, life-sized dinosaurs lurk between the trees. There is a children's play area called The Nest, a kitchen and café, picnic spots, a gift shop, and a double zip-line near the café. The winding River Windrush runs through the grounds.
Open all year round with the exception of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
