A small steam-style miniature railway that runs laps around the grounds of a working garden centre on the edge of Poynton. Children can take a short ride on the trains, which travel past decorated garden areas and fairy-themed displays that change through the year. The line has grown over the decades and now runs a long circuit, with a station building, a bridge and a tunnel along the route. Younger children tend to be fascinated by the locomotives, while older children and adults can enjoy the engineering and the scenic setting. Because it sits inside a garden centre, families can combine a ride with a browse of the shops or a stop at the café. The railway is run largely by volunteers and opens on a limited weekly pattern, so it is worth checking before a visit.
