North Devon WakePark is a watersports park set on a lake in the countryside near Bideford, a short drive from the north Devon coast. Its main draw is cable wakeboarding, with beginner straight-line cables for first-time riders and a full-size cable for more confident ones, and coaching is offered for people learning to stand up on the board. Younger children and families tend to head for the inflatable aqua park, a floating obstacle course of slides, logs and climbing frames that runs as an hour-long session, with a separate kids' course for smaller visitors. Ringo rides, where a group is towed behind a boat-style ring across the water, add a more light-hearted option for mixed-age groups. Covered seating lets parents and grandparents watch the action, and a cafe on site serves food. It suits families with a mix of ages and interests, from complete beginners to teenagers who want to try something new.
