The Greendale Farm Trail is a free family walk through several acres of farmland beside the Greendale Farm Shop, on the east side of Exeter. The path is level and suits pushchairs and small legs, so it works well for toddlers as well as older children. Along the way there are animal enclosures with Oscar the ostrich, Kunekune pigs, alpacas, shaggy Highland cattle, emus, donkeys, geese, ducks, swans and a resident wallaby. Families often combine the walk with a visit to the farm shop's café or a shopping trip, and the site also has a children's play area and a separate tractor trail. The trail is outdoors, so it is best enjoyed in dry weather, though the venue describes it as open whatever the weather.
The venue says the trail is always open, whatever the weather.
