Prodigy Escapes runs themed escape rooms in Exeter, set in a building a short walk from the city centre and the railway station. Each room is a story-led adventure: a dragon's egg gone missing from a magical community, a jungle temple full of hidden treasure, or a haunted manor with a family mystery to untangle. Teams of two to six work through the puzzles together, with a games host on hand to offer hints if a group gets stuck. The rooms are pitched so that people new to escape games can finish them, and the venue says that children and grandchildren regularly take part alongside adults. Groups under 16 must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. The manor room has some jump scares and darker sections, so it suits older children better than the others. Visitors are not locked in, and there is a lobby with lockers for belongings. Escape rooms are a good option for a rainy afternoon or a birthday outing with friends.
A fourth room, The Curse of Mount Clifton Manor, is listed on the venue's site as arriving late 2026.
