Escape Kent runs live escape games in Canterbury, where a team is locked in a themed room and has an hour to solve puzzles, find clues and work out the codes needed to get out. The rooms cover a range of stories, from pirate and alien adventures to a haunting and a kidnapping, so families can pick a game that suits the age and nerve of the group. Reviewers describe the puzzles as well built and say the staff help first-time players feel at ease. Several rooms are pitched as easier starting points, and one has been recommended specifically for families with children. Games take between two and nine players depending on the room, which makes the venue a good fit for birthday outings, siblings playing together and school reward trips. The company also runs a sister site in Faversham. Teams work together rather than against each other, so younger players can be included with an adult on the team.
