CTRL ALT ESC runs a set of themed escape rooms in Margate, where small teams have 90 minutes to find clues, solve puzzles and get out before time runs out. The games are story-led and vary in style, from a shopping-themed race round a supermarket to a Neverland rescue and a festive Santa's cabin, so there is a mix for younger and older players. The owners describe the games as technology-based and suitable for families and children, and the venue also hosts birthday parties, school and club groups and team-building days. Groups are kept in a private room for the full session, with a game master on hand throughout. Booking ahead is advised because same-day slots are not guaranteed, and players should arrive 15 minutes before their slot. There is a bar on site for adults in the group.
