Eagle Heights is a bird of prey centre and wildlife sanctuary on a hillside above the Darent Valley in Kent. Families can watch flying displays of eagles, owls and other raptors, then wander the aviaries and outdoor enclosures to meet meerkats, alpacas, servals and a pack of rescued huskies and malamutes. The site runs a play area for younger children, a tearoom and a gift shop, and visitors can add short on-the-day sessions at weekends and in school holidays, such as bird handling or feeding the rabbits and alpacas. Some animal experiences must be booked in advance online. Much of the centre is outdoors on sloping ground, so it suits a relaxed day with plenty of walking. The foundation is a non-profit that rescues animals in need, and it hosts children's birthday parties and school visits.
Winter opening is weekends only; summer is daily. Flying displays are the main draw; check the site for any display changes.
