Howletts Wild Animal Park

Howletts is a 90-acre wildlife sanctuary in ancient parkland home to over 390 rare and endangered animals. The park holds Kent's only giant anteaters, the largest herd of African elephants in the UK, and more gorillas, leopards and monkeys than any other zoo in the county. You can walk through a lemur enclosure with ring-tailed, crowned and red-bellied lemurs overhead, and explore life-size prehistoric creatures along the Woodland Walk as part of Animals of the Ice Age. Free animal talks and feeding demonstrations are included with entry. Animal Experiences Days offer small-group encounters with expert keepers in behind-the-scenes areas.
