Sea Searcher is a traditional fishing boat operated from Ramsgate Royal Harbour, offering short sightseeing trips around the harbour, longer wildlife outings to a seal colony and bird-watching trips, and sea angling sessions. The harbour tour is a quick introduction to the port, with yachts and other vessels to look at along the way. The seal and wildlife trip is a longer cruise along the coast, timed around the tides to give a good chance of seeing seals and a range of seabirds. Well-behaved dogs are welcome on board if the skipper is told at booking. Because trips run on the weather and operate mainly in the warmer months, families should check ahead before setting out. The boat suits children who enjoy wildlife, boats and the sea, and older children may find the longer seal trip the most rewarding.
Operates mainly April to October; the seal and wildlife tour is timed to tides.
