A purpose-built museum on the Worthy Down military site near Winchester. Its galleries follow more than three centuries of army supply, transport, catering and support work, from Waterloo to Kabul. Larger exhibits include a Boer War-era train, logistics vehicles and a Rolls-Royce staff car once used by Field Marshal Montgomery, while the medal collection and uniforms suit anyone curious about military history. Hands-on elements include an interactive timeline and a bomb disposal challenge, and EOD robots are on show. Entry is free, with donations welcomed, and the site has a café, a shop and free parking, which makes a low-cost half day easy to plan. Seasonal exhibitions and holiday events change through the year, so check what is on before travelling.
