Gosport Museum and Art Gallery sits in the Grade II listed Old Grammar School just off the High Street, run by Hampshire Cultural Trust. Its museum room shows the town's heritage and social history, built with objects and stories chosen by local community groups. A rolling programme of temporary exhibitions in the Display Space mixes local artists with touring national shows. The standout for little ones is the Play Gallery, an interactive sensory room for under-fives that introduces colour, line, shape and texture. Older children can join hands-on workshops, and the museum also runs curriculum-linked science and history sessions for school groups. A café, a landscaped courtyard and a gift shop make it an easy stop for a rainy-day visit.
