Splash is an outdoor water play area set in the Promenade Gardens on the seafront at St Annes, run by Fylde Council. It is designed for younger children, with spray loops, water sprays, bucket drops, water domes and a shallow paddling section that let little ones get wet and busy without any swimming ability needed. Sessions run in fixed one-hour slots through the summer, so families book a time, arrive a few minutes early and get a full hour of play. Adults who are supervising enter free. Weekly sessions are set aside for toddlers and for children with disabilities and special educational needs, with extra provision for under-fives on certain mornings. The park is open to the sky with no shade, so sun cream and hats are worth bringing on warm days. It sits close to the Fairhaven and Lytham promenade, so it pairs well with a beach trip or a walk along the front.
Summer season only. Weekly under-5s session on Monday mornings and SEN/disability session on Tuesday mornings.
