The Scarborough Fair Collection is a family-friendly museum set in the grounds of Flower of May Holiday Park on the coast road between Scarborough and Filey. Its collection covers vintage fairground rides that visitors can ride, including gallopers and bumper cars, alongside mechanical fairground organs, showman's steam engines, tractors, motorbikes and vintage cars. A large ballroom houses a Wurlitzer organ, and the organ music makes a lively backdrop while families eat in the café. Schools are welcomed for visits, and the museum also runs afternoon tea dances. Rides are charged separately from admission, and the collection suits children who enjoy machines and music as well as adults with an interest in transport history. The museum is largely indoors, so it works in changeable weather.
