High Legh Miniature Railway is a short circular ride set in the rural grounds of High Legh Garden Centre in Cheshire. The track winds around a lawn, over a wooden bridge and through woodland, passing small scenes and decorations for children to spot along the way. Riders can hop off at a children's play and picnic area and catch a later train back to the station. The railway is run by volunteers who build and maintain the trains and track, and it holds seasonal events through the year. It suits young children who are train-mad, and families who want a gentle outing that can be combined with lunch or a browse in the garden centre. The play area is open in the warmer months only, so families visiting in winter should expect the ride without the playground.
Playground open February half term to October half term; closed in winter.
