Arley Hall & Gardens

Arley Hall and Gardens is a Cheshire country estate where families can wander formal gardens, woodland walks and a grove, then spend time in the outdoor Children's PlayZone. The play area has a zip wire, a sandpit, swings and slides, plus willow domes and open lawn for a ball game. A picnic area sits alongside it, and there is a café on site. The formal gardens include a famous double herbaceous border and a walled garden, which suit older children and adults who like to explore. The Hall itself is only open to the public on a few days each month, so check the calendar before planning a visit around it. Dogs on leads are welcome in most areas, though not in the PlayZone or the Hall. The estate also runs a plant nursery and gift shop, and hosts seasonal events and plant fairs through the year.
