What’s there
- Dogs welcome
Only facilities we’ve confirmed are listed — anything missing here we simply haven’t checked, rather than know to be absent.
Cluny House Gardens is a hillside woodland garden on the Strathtay side of Aberfeldy, planted from the 1950s with trees and plants brought in from the Himalayas and North America. Families come to watch the red squirrels running through the canopy and visiting the feeding points around the grounds, and to find the Wellingtonia, a giant conifer with one of the widest trunks of any tree of its kind in Britain. Spring brings carpets of woodland flowers and autumn brings strong colour from the Japanese maples. The paths are narrow and sloping with many steps, so it suits children who can walk and enjoy exploring rather than pushchairs. Well behaved dogs are welcome on a short lead. It is a quiet, cash-only outing that pairs well with a walk along the surrounding Big Tree Country trails.
