Facilities

A working Victorian brewery in the Dorset countryside, with a brewery tour and a pub-restaurant in the old maltings beside the River Stour. The tour walks visitors through the historic maltings and the modern brewhouse, with a guide explaining how the beer is made and the family history behind it, and it finishes with tasting. Children are welcome on the tour from age ten when accompanied by an adult, and the tap serves breakfast, brunch and lighter meals, so it suits a family lunch or a relaxed stop after a walk. The brewery shop sells beers and gifts, and there is space outdoors near the river. Some seasonal events, such as a breakfast with Santa, are aimed at families. Parts of the tour are not suitable for guests with limited mobility, so check before booking if this applies.
