Frenchay Village Museum is a small local history museum dedicated to the village of Frenchay on the northern edge of Bristol. Its displays cover the village's past, including the Fry chocolate family, the Tuckett family, the history of Frenchay Hospital and local wartime memorabilia. Visitors can also see mountaineering displays, a porcelain collection and village archive material, and books and prints are sold on site. The museum is run by volunteers and suits families with older children who are curious about local history and how a village has changed over time. It is small, so it works well as a short stop alongside a walk around the village.
Closed throughout December.
