Golden Acre Park is one of the seven major parks run by Leeds City Council, six miles north of the city centre on the A660 between Adel and Bramhope. Its best-known feature is a circular walk around a lake that is home to wildfowl, passing through woodland, parkland and gardens that include demonstration beds and plant collections. Families use it for a relaxed stroll, a look at the water and a change of scene from the city. A cafe with outdoor seating and public toilets, including a Changing Places facility, are on site. Entry is free, and the main circuit and demonstration gardens are well maintained and fairly flat, so buggies and wheelchairs can get around. Bands play on summer Sundays. It suits an easy, low-cost outing rather than an attraction with rides.
Summer Sunday band concerts are held in the park per the council page.
