Harewood House

Harewood House is a Georgian country house in the Yorkshire countryside, one of the Treasure Houses of England, with a family-friendly estate around it. Children can run and climb in the Adventure Playscape, a woodland play area with climbing towers, bridges, slides, swings and a zipwire, and wander through the Woodland Wonderland willow mazes. Indoors there are family play spaces inside the House and a family room in the Garden Room over Christmas. Older children often enjoy the State Floor and the below-stairs kitchen rooms, while the grounds offer lakeside walks, a walled garden, a Himalayan garden and a treehouse. There is a shuttle bus for mobility needs, a cafe, a shop and picnic areas. The site is large and sloping, so pushchair users may find some paths steep, and the House has its own rules on prams and bags. Dogs on leads are welcome outside the House and play areas.
