Facilities
We haven’t checked this venue’s facilities yet. Give them a ring if something specific matters for your visit.
Kenwood is a historic house on the northern edge of Hampstead Heath, remodelled by Robert Adam in the 1760s and 1770s and now cared for by English Heritage. Families can walk through the richly decorated rooms and look at a well-known collection of Old Master paintings, then go outside into the landscaped grounds that were laid out by Humphry Repton. Children often enjoy the family activities based in the Housekeeper's Room, which tell the stories of the people who lived and worked in the house, including Dido Belle. There is a café for a break and plenty of open grass to stretch legs after the galleries. Booking a ticket online in advance guarantees entry at busy times. Some temporary exhibitions and events may carry a separate charge, and the programme changes through the year, so check before visiting.
