The Holmesdale Natural History Club Museum is run by a long-established club in a house on Croydon Road in Reigate. Its collections cover natural history, geology, archaeology and local history, and include a large display of stuffed birds, some specimens dating from the eighteenth century, and herbarium material from the first Flora of Surrey. A library sits alongside the displays. The museum is not open every day; the club's own site invites visitors to look round at set times and to take part in its Heritage Open Days, and most of its activity is adult lectures and walks. Families with older, curious children who enjoy taxidermy, fossils and local history are the most likely visitors, and younger children may find it quiet. The garden at the rear is a further attraction when the museum is open.
