The Lightbox is an award-winning contemporary art gallery and museum in the heart of Woking, Surrey, showing changing art exhibitions alongside Woking's Story local history collections. General admission to the ground floor gallery, courtyard cafe and shop is free, and under-18s visit the main exhibition floors for free too. Families can explore the free Make and Play area on the second floor with its magnetic pattern wall, sculpture station and bean bags, borrow sensory items and PECS from the Art Cart, or join seasonal family workshops and weekend drop-in drawing sessions in the Lightbox Studio. The venue runs relaxed openings on the last Sunday of every month for visitors with communication or sensory needs, and the building has level access with a lift to all floors. Open Wednesday to Sunday, closed Monday and Tuesday.
